March madness is about to hit A.C. Moore Elementary School, but it has nothing to do with basketball.
Starting March 1 students will be rooting for their favorite teams, tracing their every move and boning up on every bit of team trivia they can find - essentials any sports fan can relate to. Their tale of adventure begins deep in the heart of the jungle on Monday, January 28. Using costumes and sets they created themselves, Meadowfield Elementary fourth-grade students will transform themselves into Mowgli, Shere Kahn, Baloo and other well-known characters as they perform the musical version of the children’s classic The Jungle Book. Richland One to Honor Dr. King’s Legacy by Feeding the Hungry in Our Community
In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Richland One students and employees have collected food for the Harvest Hope Food Bank. Collection barrels were placed at nine sites throughout the school district from January 7-11. Richland One Schools to Host Holiday Events
Richland One schools will be filled with the sound of music, laughter and joy this holiday season as students perform a variety of holiday plays and concerts. There’s something for everyone including a performance of a Jamaican Christmas song, ’50s-era version of Reindeer Hand Jive, a step show and poems spoken in Spanish. Teachers and other staff join will in the fun, too. Faculty at one school will be strutting the catwalk for their annual crowd-pleaser called the North Pole Fashion Show. More>> |
