Richland One 2006 High School
Bowl Championship Airs on ETV
Richland School District One concluded its
twenty-eighth Annual High School Bowl Competition
with the championship match on March 23 that
was taped in the ETV studio. Teams from A.C.
Flora High School and Dreher High School participated
in the title match. The purpose of the competition
is to encourage academic excellence and acknowledge
the academic achievements of students.
The competition in Richland One is unique.
The library media specialists in each school
sponsor a school team. Not only are the academically
talented students involved, but also students
who have an interest in the television broadcast
field. These students served as camera operators
and audio technicians for all rounds of the
competition, except for the final round that
took place this year at ETV.
David Bykowski, TV and radio broadcaster,
served as moderator and Ida Thompson, Director
of Instructional Technology Services in Richland
One, coordinated this exceptional program.
