Richland One Schools Give to the Community

Richland One students are learning lessons in compassion and kindness this holiday season as they prepare to give to those in need throughout our community. Here’s a sampling:

Pendergrass Fairwold School
In honor of American Education Week (November 15-21), Pendergrass Fairwold is sponsoring a book drive to benefit the Midlands Center, which provides treatment and residential services to disabled citizens. The last day to donate new or gently used books is Friday, November 20. The books will be donated to the Midlands Center library.

Carver-Lyon Elementary School
"Food for Thought - Food For Life"
During November and December, students will be collecting canned and non-perishable foods to donate to Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Logan Elementary School
November 20- 24, Logan students will collect non-perishable food items for a local food pantry.

Citizens interested in donating should contact the schools for more information. Media inquiries should be directed to the Richland One Office of Communications at 231-7504 or 231-7510.
