Keenan High School Alumni to Celebrate Homecoming ‘09

Great food, fun and old friends making new memories while they reminiscence about the past…that’s the backdrop of Keenan High School’s Homecoming Celebration ’09 for its alumni October 16-17.

The two-day celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16 with tailgating at Bolden Stadium prior to the football game between Keenan and Lee Central High School. Bolden Stadium is located at 2600 Barhamville Road.

Two special events are planned for Saturday, October 17. The groundbreaking ceremony for a new alumni monument begins at 11 a.m. on the campus of the new Keenan, 361 Pisgah Church Road. The monument will be constructed of brick pavers engraved with the names of former students.

At 1 p.m., the action moves to Sanders Middle School, the site of the original Keenan High School, for a pick-up game of basketball in the school gym. Sanders is located at 3455 Pine Belt Road.
