Events Planned for Lower Richland High School Community

From books to bargains, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at upcoming events at Lower Richland High School:

September 24: Grandparents’ Day Celebration
Grandparents rule at Lower Richland High School on Thursday, September 24. Students’ grandparents will receive the royal treatment at a celebration in their honor from 9-11 a.m. After a delicious breakfast, grandparents will enjoy a morning of student performances and tributes, including student essays about what makes their grandparent special. The winner of the essay contest will be announced at the event.

September 26: Community Yard Sale
Looking for a bargain? Need to get rid of some stuff and pick up a little extra cash? Lower Richland High School will host a community yard sale on Saturday, September 26, 7 a.m. – noon. Tables can be reserved for only $10 by contacting Natasha Coulbourne at 695-3046. Sellers can begin setting up their tables at 6:30 a.m.

September 28: Title I Lower Richland Area Family Book Club Meeting
Families of students attending schools in the Lower Richland community are invited to attend the monthly Title I Family Book Club meeting, Monday, September 28, 6-7:30 p.m. in room H-123 on the campus of Lower Richland High School. In addition to receiving free books, families will participate in book discussions and literacy activities. The book club encourages families to improve their reading and other literacy skills. It is open to all students’ families including those of students who do not attend the district’s Title I schools. Parents who need additional information should contact Deborah Green-Wilson at 231-6820.
