Richland One Recognizes Outstanding Staff, Students

2008 Middle School Academic Bowl Champion
Hand Middle School recaptured the Richland One Middle School Academic Bowl title this spring. The competition between Hand and rival Crayton Middle School was very close.

2008 Superintendent’s JROTC Trophy Winner
The Dreher High School Navy JROTC cadets captured first place in the annual Richland One Superintendent’s Trophy competition. Cadets in district JROTC programs are judged in five areas: uniform wear, drill, physical fitness, community service and academics.

2008 John R. Stevenson Music Scholarship Recipient
Lower Richland High School senior Mary Allyson Osborne is the winner of the 2008 Dr. John R. Stevenson Music Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a Richland One high school senior who plans to pursue post-secondary study in music. Osborne plans to attend Coker College this fall. The scholarship is named in honor of Richland One Superintendent Emeritus Dr. John R. Stevenson, who served as the district’s superintendent from 1986-1994.

Richland One Database Specialist of the Year
Deborah Morgan was recently named Richland One’s Database Specialist of the Year. Morgan is a database specialist at Burnside Elementary School.
