Richland One Announces Sites for Free Summer Lunch Program

This summer any child who wants lunch will be able to get it free of charge at nearly 90 sites in Richland and Lexington counties thanks to the Richland One Summer Feeding Program. The district has secured dozens of locations including churches, parks and child care centers that will serve as designated sites where children can go and get a free lunch, perhaps the only nutritious meal some families will be able to afford.

From June 2-August 7 the federally-funded Seamless Summer Program offers a nutritious lunch and snack to any child at no cost to parents. Children simply go to any of the designated sites and ask for a meal.
