Snow Day Make-Up Dates Richland One students will make up the day of school they missed on January 20 by attending classes on Monday, February 16. District schools and offices were closed on January 20 because of inclement weather. Under state law, students are required to attend school 180 days, so the missed day of school must be made up before the end of the school year. February 16 was designated on the district’s 2008-2009 calendar as the first make-up day if needed. Had the make-up day not been needed, students would have had the day off from school while teachers and administrators participated in professional development activities.
