Richland One To Hold Technology Fair

February is Technology Fair month in Richland One, and Instructional Technology Services invites you to join us for the kick-off event on Tuesday, February 3, from 6:00 - 7:30 at the Dreher High School Auditorium. This event features Krista Marks, CEO of Kerpoof, an Internet creativity site for students, Mayor Bob Coble, City of Columbia, and the recognition of a school technology star from each school.

Additional February activities include student creativity sessions with Krista Marks on Wednesday, February 4, technology educator sessions with students throughout the month, and school technology events and displays in each school. A calendar of events detailing each school's participation will be posted on the Instructional Technology Services web site - http://www.richlandone.org/its - to encourage parents and community members to visit their local schools.

These displays and events at each school may be held in conjunction with PTO meetings, science fair evenings, family literacy events, Black History Month celebrations, Smart Matters, or other scheduled school events. School day events and displays may include teacher and student technology demonstrations, schools news program broadcasts, Visual Literacy Festival winners, Renaissance Place and SuccessMaker demonstrations, and other technology related displays.

For additional information, you may contact the Instructional Technology Services office at 231-6803.
