All schools offer a well-balanced, nutritious breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices. The standard breakfast includes a protein (such as sausage, cheese or egg), a bread (muffin, cereal, toast or biscuit), low-fat milk and fruit or fruit juice.

The standard lunch includes a choice of meat or other protein, two vegetables, fruit or fruit juice, bread and milk. Free or reduced-price breakfasts and lunches are available for students whose families qualify, based upon income and family size.

Forms for these are mailed and/or sent home with all students at the beginning of the year. If you want to apply for free or reduced-price meals and did not get a form, call the principal's office or the Student Nutrition Services Department, 231-6953. Parents may pay by the quarter or for the entire year. Refunds, upon request, will be issued at the end of the school year for amounts not used.

District policy prohibits us from allowing students to eat on credit, and there are no district funds available for this service. Students are encouraged to purchase lunch in the school cafeteria. It is difficult to prepare an equivalent meal to bring to school; no refrigeration is available for lunch boxes.
