The
Adult Education Program in Richland
School District One has been in existence for
more than 30 years. This program provides educational
services for adults according to the purposes
set forth in the Workforce Investment Act and
in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
Its effectiveness has been
demonstrated by improving the academic skills
of adults and families, as measured by the number
of adults earning high school diplomas and GEDs
each year and the gains achieved by adults functioning
below eighth-grade educational level.
Richland
One Adult Education operates a
full range of programs throughout the calendar
year, during both the day and evening.
The regular session operates for 35 weeks, from
August to May. A summer program for high
school diploma, GED and ESL is offered during
June and July.
